APHRAH began with violet, a flower that has always felt deeply personal and symbolic to me. Its scent is fleeting and almost impossible to hold onto, yet somehow we all seem to recognize violet as powdery, soft and old-fashioned. I wanted to capture that strange memory of violet, but also show another side of it. Aged orris gives the composition its vintage powdery hint while green apple, brings something crisp and alive. To me it smells feminine, floral, familiar and almost antique.

That powderiness became part of the meaning of APHRAH. Powder is dust, to dust we return but it is not the end. Violet itself has carried symbolism of devotion, hidden love and remembrance, while in Greek myth violets appear in the meadow just before Persephone descends into the underworld. Orris comes from iris, a flower named for the rainbow messenger who moved between worlds. Somehow all of those symbols kept circling the same idea for me: disappearance, memory and return. I think of APHRAH almost like a phoenix—something reduced to ash, only to rise again carrying the memory of what it was before.

Fragrant accords of: powdered violet petals, crisp apple skin, aged orris butter, antique face powder, soft florals, pale woods and skin-like musk. A deeply feminine powdery floral with a bright fruity opening that slowly settles into velvety orris, violet and soft musk.

You’d reach for APHRAH when you are ready to remember, yet, again. After heartbreak, change, loss of confidence, or simply a season where you stopped feeling…..and lost yourself.  It is not about becoming somebody completely new. It is about realizing that even after something has turned to dust, there may still be enough left to rise again.

Hand-blended in small batches,
matured through moon cycles,
hand-tuned to 432 Hz,
and poured into a 10 ml glass bottle —
wrapped in velvet and sealed in wax as a personal relic.

Organic Grape Alcohol, Natural Fragrance (Essential Oils, Absolutes, Tinctures, CO2s, and Botanical Extracts)* *Handcrafted and aged in small batches with organic alcohol, natural essential oils, absolutes, nature derived isolates, botanical tinctures, co2 botanical extractions, and resins.

HOW TO WEAR:

Spray the desired amount onto pulse points (wrists, behind ears, neck, decollete) and allow to air dry. Store in cool, dry areas.

SAFETY:

Our perfumes are made with organic grape alcohol and a blend of natural essential oils, absolutes, and CO2 extracts. Naturally occurring components of these may include: limonene, linalool, santalol, citronellol, farnesol, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, geraniol, eugenol, benzyl salicylate, isoeugenol, citral, and cinnamyl alcohol. Citrus oils in some blends may increase sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid direct sun exposure after applying to skin. Even natural ingredients can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Always perform a patch test before full use. Discontinue if irritation occurs. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes.
